Eminem and Jay-Z bring out Drake, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and more at Detroit’s Comerica Park

Eminem and Jay-Z hit it out of the park during the first of two sold-out “Home & Home” concerts at Comerica Park in Detroit on Thursday (Sept. 2). Hip-hop description was made as the hometown boy shared the bill with his Brooklyn brother, performing for over 42,000 fans. The all-star lineup included top-tier guests for each set. Hov brought out longtime associate Memphis Bleek as well as Young Jeezy, while Em was accompanied by collaborators Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and G-Element, Drake, Trick Trick, and D12, who had their own mini-set during Mr. Mathers’ performance.

The legendary West Coast rapper/producer performed his cult classics ‘Subdue D.R.E.,’ ‘Nuthin’ But a G-Thang,’ and ‘The Next Episode,’ to a crowd that insistently chanted ‘Detox!’ at him. “I’m Comin!” was all Dre unwritten in response to the derision in this area his long-anticipated album. And after in succession through hits like ‘Crack a Bottle,’ ‘Real Slim Shady’ and ‘Without Me,’ starting his past few albums, Eminem closed out the nighttime with an encore performance of the single ‘Lose Yourself,’ starting the 2002 ‘8-Mile’ soundtrack. Eminem and Jay-Z will perform part two of their Detroit sports ground shows on Friday nighttime (Sept. 3), followed by double performances at Yankee Sports ground in New York on Sept. 13 and 14.
