USA Today reports that a coat version of the John Edwards scandal is in the bring about. The screenplay will be written by The West Wing creator Andrew Sorkin. The screenplay will be adapated starting The Politician, a book in this area the Edwards’ scandal written by former Edwards aide Andrew Young. Andrew Sorkin says, “This is a first-hand account of an extraordinary tale to the top with motivations, decisions and consequences that would have lit Shakespeare up. There’s much more to Andrew’s book than what has been reported and I’m thankful that he’s innocent me with it.”
Sorkin is coming off two high-profile scripting jobs: the David Fincher-directed The Shared Arrangement, which opens October 1, and Moneyball, an adaptation of the Michael Lewis book that is in this area to commence production with Bennett Miller directing and Brad Pitt starring. Both are Sony Pictures’ projects.
